As the summer holidays have begun, for making the holidays more interesting and useful for the children, Vidhyanjali Academy Residential School has organised a summer camp from March 23rd to March 29th for the students. About 130 children from different schools attended the summer camp. The students were all very happy.
The school organized various activities like dance, sports, Martial Arts, Yoga, English Spoken, Calligraphy , Paper Quilling, Jewellery Making, Chart Making, House Decoration Items, Drawing and Painting, etc. Director of the school said that the main aim of the institution is the overall development of children both physically as well as mentally and this camp was an effort in this direction. On the day of Closing Ceremony all the students were given the appreciation certificates.
Republic day (26-01-2017)
The 68 th Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at Vidhyanjali Academy Residential School. The day began with the hoisting of the Indian flag by The Chief Guest ,Former MLA and Chairperson of Vidhyanjali , Mrs. Poonam Goyal, followed by the National Anthem.The students saluted the National Flag and pledged themselves to upholding the honour and integrity, diversity and uniqueness that is “ India”.
The choir group presented the patriotic song “ Hind Desh Ka Pyara Jhanda… & Suraj Badle Chanda Badle ….” . The whole school joined the choir and the song reverberated in the surroundings . It was followed by a beautiful Rajasthani folk dance .The melodious music and graceful movements of the dancers were spellbinding. The students dispersed after sweets with the image of the fluttering tricolor in their minds.
Kite festival (13-01-2017)
Vidhyanjali Academy Residential School has organized Kite Flying Festival on 13 January , 2017 on the occasion of Makar Sakranti in school campus where students flew beautiful kites made by them with colored papers and filled the sky with colors. Director Mrs. Ashima Goyal related the flying of Kites with teacher’s role in student’s life and their achievements. While conveying his greetings he said, as students are desperate to fly their kites high in the sky, teachers are also desperate to take them to heights in their future.
National Youth Day (Swami Vivekananda Birthday) (12-01-2017)
A special assembly was conducted on the birthday of Swami Vivekananda. speeches were given by the Students and teachers . The messages and contribution of Swami Vivekananda were remembered.
The sports day began with a welcome speech followed by the March past by class VI to X students.
The chief guest took the salute and then the oath ceremony was held. The event was followed by the hoisting of the flag by our esteemed Director , Mrs. Ashima Goyal who declared the sports meet open.
Later a melodious song was sung by a group of students and then an entertaining dance by the students was performed. After that the students participated in 100 mtr Race, 200 mtr. Race, Relay Race , Kho-Kho and three legged race. Judo Wrestling was the main attraction of the day as our students won many prizes out of the school also. The students were given the medals and certificates accordingly.
Tiger House was declared the winner house. Lastly Principal , Mrs. Neeta Audichya presented the vote of thanks and declared the sports meet closed and it was over.
Annual Sports Day (24-12-2016)
Annual Sports Day is an important event in the life of every school. Sports themselves have a vital role in making a child sound physically as well as mentally.
The Annual Sports Day of Vidhyanjali Academy Residential School was held on 24 of December2016. It was held in the huge playground of our school. Former MLA and Chairperson of the school Mrs. Poonam Goyal was the chief guest of the event. The whole playground had been decorated with flags, buntings and balloons a day earlier.
Kota Sahodaya Schools Complex Inter - School Quiz Contest (02-12-2016)
On 2nd of December 2016, The Inter School Quiz Competition under the aegis of Kota Sahodaya Schools Complex was conducted at Vidhyanjali Academy Residential School. The event was blessed with the presence of honorable chief guest, President of Kota Sahodaya Schools Complex and Director –Principal of Lawrence & Mayo School ,Mr. Pradeep Singh Gour . He was welcomed by the Director of Vidhyanjali Academy Residential School, Mrs. Ashima Goyal and the Principal Mrs. Neeta Audichya . A short cultural programme was presented to welcome the guest.
Sixteen schools from Kota , Jhalawar and Keshavrai Patan participated in the event . It was a written Quiz contest. There were two categories to participate i.e. Junior Group (Classs VI-VIII) &Senior Group ( IX-X) . Two teams , comprising two students each from the schools, with their teacher in –charges reported at 8:30 A.M. ID cards having individual codes were given to the participants.
The contest started by reading out the rules and regulations to all the participants. The Quiz featured questions on various subjects like Indian History, Sports, Science, English Grammar, Current Affairs (National & International), Mental Maths, etc.
There were separate sitting arrangement for the junior category and senior category. The quiz consisted of two rounds. There was a written preliminary round to select the final teams .In the first round all the participants had to solve 45 questions within 30 minutes.
Though some of the questions were very tricky but the teams tried to answer them with confidence. Five teams from each category went into the final round where they were to solve 40 questions within half an hour . Three teams from each category came out as winners and runners-up. A panel of copy-checkers was made to keep the transparency in copy checking of the participants. The panel consisted teachers randomly from each school participated.
A range of emotions were felt while waiting for the announcement of the final results.
From Junior Group, Vidhyanjali Academy Residential School secured 1st Position, Pallvan Uchhatar Vidhyalaya, Jhalawar stood as 1st Runner-Up and the 2 Runner-Up up prize went to Gurunanak Public School, Badgaon.
In Senior. Group Springdales Children School Naya Gaon secured the 1st position , Lawrence and Mayo secured 1st Runner- Up position and the prize of 2nd Runner-Up went to Mittal International School.
The winners were given mementoes and certificates by our Chief Guest,Mr. Pradeep Singh Gour Everyone clapped and cheered for the ecstatic winning teams.
All the teachers and participants enjoyed the refreshment provided by the host school.
The vote of thanks was given by the Director of the school, Mrs. Ashima Goyal for joining this quiz contest and making it a great success.
MEDICAL CHECK-UP CAMP (29, 30-11-2016)
A health check-up camp was conducted from November –to--- for students from class Play Group to Class X . to facilitate early detection of deficiencies and general health of children. Dr. Vineet Jain ENT specialist, Mahaveer Hospital , Kota and Dr. Chitrangana Jain ,Dental Surgeon & Cosmetic Dentist, Arihant Hospital, Kota with their team examined the students and prescribed the necessary treatment.
Common problems included worms, vitamin deficiency, calcium deficiency, fever, cold and cough, tonsillitis, headache, dental, eyes and ears related. Teachers were requested to follow up with the parents.
Bal mela (14-11-2016)
14th November was a day full of fun and frolic in the school premises as buntings, banners, stalls, rides and magic awaited the students. The school was decked up for double celebrations, Diwali and Children’s Day that amalgamated into a ‘Bal Mela’.A special assembly was conducted by the teachers, wherein they performed numerable foot tapping dances, melodious songs and entertaining skit for the students. There were different food stalls to tantalize the taste buds The playground sprawled with activities and merrymakers. .Rajasthani Dance , Magic and Puppet shows enraptured the younger ones. The children were decorating themselves with Tattoos. Many game stalls were put up by the joint effort of the students and teachers. The most awaited event was the ‘Talent Hunt’ where many children showcased their talent in three categories, namely, Musical Chair, Dance and Holla Loop . The children enjoyed to the hilt. At the end of an over joyous day, the children were felicitated with certificates and prizes. The day was truly a day for our students-the cynosure of our eyes.
Dussehra Celebration (07-10-2016)
Students and staff of Vidhyanjali Academy Residential School celebrated Dasara in school on October 07 with great enthusiasm and energy.
A special assembly was conducted, in which students spoke on the significance of the festival and how it is celebrated in the country. The students imbibed the message that“GOOD ALWAYS WIN OVER EVIL” Cultural programmes were held on the school premises. Dandiya, a traditional dance was presented by the students in a graceful manner. Colourful attire worn by the dancers and colourful sticks carried by them were eye-catching. The festivities were filled with great joy and enthusiasm in the presence of their parents.
Celebration of Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti (02-10-2016)
A collage making Competition was held for class L.K.G and H.K.G The theme was National Festival. The aim was to explore the students’ creativity. A great enthusiasm was seen in the students during the event. They used a variety of material to create the collages with the help of their teachers. The efforts of the students were remarkable and the most creative collages were adjudged the winners.A special assembly was conducted on October 2, 2016 to commemorate Gandhi Jayanti. The assembly started with the garlanding of Mahatma Gandhi’s & Lal Bahadur Shastri’s portrait followed by the speech by the students on the significance of the day and the need to imbibe Gandhian values in our lives. The school choir presented a bhajan ‘Vaishno Jan To Tene Kahiye Jay’. The entire school seemed to feel the essence of Gandhiji’s presence.
Kota Educational Trip (27-09-2016)
The study tour as per the curriculum was an exposure trip to a place of educational or historical importance .A one day educational tour was organized for the students from P.G to Class X under the supervision of teachers. The students got an opportunity to behold the right of many important & famous places of Kota.
Tiny Tots of PG to H.K.G were taken to the picnic at Ganesh Udhan & enjoyed a variety of rides.
The tour was quite educative & informative. Students had an enriching experience.
Hindi Diwas (14-09-2016)
Hindi is our National Language and we all should be proud of it. Hindi Diwas was celebrated in Vidhyanjali Academy Residential School on 14th September. The school organized Elocution Competition From clases I-III,Hindi Slogan Competition from classes IV to VI and Debate for the students of classes VII to X. All the students participated with great fervor.
Teachers day (05-09-2016)
Teachers play a major role in making their students responsible citizens of tomorrow and good human beings. On 5th September all the Staff members of Vidhyanjali Academy Residential School had a great day, Students performed beautiful programmes for the teachers . An oath was taken by the teachers which was administered by the Director of school . The oath insisted on quality teaching irrelevant to caste, creed or religion. In the end of the programme teachers enjoyed a delicious lunch party given by the school management.
Charity Day (02-09-2016)
To inculcate the habit of Charity & Mercy, students of Vidhyanjali Academy Residential School were brought to the slums area where they saw the struggling life of the poor people .Our Students donated the things of basic needs and realized the real happiness which comes by helping the poor & needy People .
FRUIT CHAAT PARTY (31-08-2016)
The Pre-Primary kids of Vidhyanjali Academy Residential School celebrated Fruit Chaat Party. The event was planned to develop healthy eating habits amongst children. Fruit Chaat was prepared with a variety of fruits like banana, apple, papaya, grapes etc. All the children relished the healthy fruit chaat. The teachers had cut all the fruits and prepared tasty and tempting fruit chaat . The teachers asked the children to wash fruits before eating. The tiny tots not only enjoyed the varied taste, but also learnt about various fruits.
Collage Making Activity (31-08-2016)
A collage making Competition was held for class L.K.G and H.K.G The theme was National Festival. The aim was to explore the students’ creativity. Investiture ceremony (29-08-2016)
The most prestigious and solemn ceremony in the schedule of school events is the Investiture Ceremony. Investiture Ceremony of Vidhyanjali Academy was held on 29th August 2016. This unique system of self administration of maintaining discipline by a selected team of students certainly goes towards churning out great personalities and future leaders.

As is the tradition every year Janamashtami was celebrated this year too. The little Krishna and Radha looked adorable in their traditional costumes and the entire area was transformed into a land of joy , celebrations and happiness . The naughty little krishna was all set to sway and dance with the Gopicas and Radha. The entire event was enjoyed by all the tiny tots of the Kindergarten.
Dining Table Etiquettes (24-08-2016)
An activity for the kindergarten students was conducted where basic dinning etiquettes were taught like how to behave at dining table and how to eat in an elegant way.
Voting And Compaigning day (24-08-2016)
“Get Voting is everything you need to run a free and fair election for your class or school”. To form the Student Council 2016-17 a voting and campaigning day was conducted in the school campus.On this day students of Vidhyanjali Academy Residential School voted for their favorite candidates . All the candidates prepared their own manifestos and campaigned for themselves. All the votes were sealed in a box . After then under the supervision of teacher in charges the votes were counted and the results were kept secured to revel on the Investiture Ceremony. By this activity students came to know the procedure of voting for the elections.

Animation Movie Show (19-08-2016)
With the aim to inculcate the quality of inquiry in the children, a movie show was organized for the students of pre primary and primary section of the school. Children had a great time watching movie “Jungle Book “.This movie was an amalgamated view of relationship between humanity and nature. The movie is a wholesome review of amusement and thrill.

Our school celebrated 70th Independence Day with great patriotic fervor, zeal and zest. The function began with the unfurling of the National Flag by our Director ,Mrs. Ashima Goyal followed by the patriotic renditions sung by the students which charged up the atmosphere with patriotic spirit. Students of class VI-VII also presented a musical Enactment titled ‘Azadi Ka Karawan’ which showcased the struggle by our freedom fighters to gain freedom and the final ‘celebration after gaining complete Independence from the British. “Our Freedom Fighters” theme based Fancy dress competition was held for the students of primary section. Winners were given the prizes. The Programme concluded up with the Vote of thanks by Principal odf school Mrs.Neeta Audichya. At the end sweets were distributed to the students as a token of love and concern.
Grand Parents Day (12-08 2016)
We believe that progress with values, ascent with firm roots of family bonds. Grandparents Day celebration is a significant milestone in the child’s journey in our school. On this occasion Grandparents of the tiny tots from Play group to H.K.G were invited . The various programs were performed for them included, dances like ‘Dadi amma Man jayo’, Nani Teri Morni ko’, Itni si khushi and Dadaji ki chhadi hu main.. It was a different kind of experience for the Kindergarten children as well as their grandparents as they mingled and jingled in the revelry of the day by playing different games with their grand children .Winner Grandparents were honoured with beautiful gifts. The programme was ended up with a refreshment party.

Friendship Card Making Activity (06-08-2016)
Tiny tots of Vidhyanjali Academy Residential School made beautiful cards with the help of their teaders and exchanged with their friends .
The Satisfaction and happiness on their innocent face were worth watching .
Kargil Vijay Diwas (26-07-2016)
To commemorate the historical victory of Indian Armed Forced during the 1999 Kargil War, the students of Vidhyanjali Academy Residential School celebrated the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26th July, 2016 with solemnity and dignity at the school campus. The day marked the 17th anniversary of successful conclusion of operation Vijay. During the celebration Director of school, Mrs. Ashima Goyal explained the significance of this day & gave the message to the students that “Every individual should feel proud of our soldiers who are protecting the country and those who had sacrificed their lives for us.” Students took oath to serve for the country.
The event concluded by paying homage to the Martyrs of operation Vijay.
Master chef competition (19-07-16)
Master chef competition for Class was organized at Vidhyanjali Academy Residential School 19th July'16 . The sole purpose of the activity was to make students aware of healthy food & eating habits. Further, the activity also helped them to know about various cuisines around the world and how people pack health in their tiffin boxes around the world. It further honed their culinary skills and they learnt how to calculate nutritional value of their dish on their own. They also learnt the importance of cooking without littering
Rain dance party (15-07-16)
We as a Vidhyanjali Family always strive to inculcate the values of amity, love and harmony. To bring in the same, we welcomed monsoon season, celebrated the fun filled “Rain Dance Party” on 15.07.16. The children enjoyed the whole experience of rain and chills in this rising heat. Teacher accompanied their students and they all danced together on the music.
INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY (21-06-2016)
Yoga is a holistic approach to health and well being. It is to discover the sense of oneness with our self and with nature. June 21st is observed as the International Yoga Day from 2015. All the students from class I to X of our school took part enthusiastically.
